    ODV Narcotic Field Pouch Tests
ODV NarcoPouch Drug Test Kits Crime laboratories are so busy that drug tests take too long. With the cooperation of the Prosecuting Attorney, many police agencies have turned to presumptive drug testing. If the results indicate that an illegal substance is present, criminal charges may be filed.

NarcoPouch® presumptive field drug tests show all color reactions directly in front of the ampoule being broken. To simplify the usage of the pouches, a numbering system of 1-2 or 1-2-3 is printed on the front of multiple ampoule tests. To eliminate background colors and improve visibility in low light situations, a white panel has been added to the rear of the pouch. For added safety, a plastic harness now wraps completely around the ampoules, to prevent broken glass from puncturing the pouch. Each box includes 10 individual tests.

This product cannot ship to military APO address. A physical address that can accept Fed Ex or UPS shipments is required.

    General Screening

Mayer’s Reagent – General screening test for controlled substances. Designed as the starting point for sequential testing. If you have a totally unknown substance (tablet, capsule, powder or chunk), the Mayer’s Reagent will direct you toward your next field test: NarcoPouch #901

General Screening Marquis Reagent – Presumptive test for MDMA (Ecstasy), Amphetamine type compounds (Amphetamines and Methamphetamine), and for Opium Alkaloids (Heroin and Morphine). To differentiate between Amphetamines and Methamphetamine use the Methamphetamine Reagent #23. To confirm all Heroin (White, Brown or Black tar) use the Mecke’s Reagent #24: NarcoPouch #902

Confirming Test Nitric Acid Reagent – Presumptive test designed to differentiate between Heroin and Morphine. This test is not designed as a Primary Test and ODV discourages its use. ODV recommends the use of Mecke’s Reagent #24 for Heroin. For a full discussion click HERE for pouches, or HERE for Narcotest: NarcoPouch #903

Cocaine / Crack Cocaine Salts & Base Reagent – Presumptive test designed to identify Cocaine HCl, Freebase or Crack. The pouch configuration must develop three positive reactions: (1) Blue presence, (2) Pink solution, (3) Pink over Blue layering. The tube configuration will develop a Blue solution after breakage of each ampoule with a sticky Blue residue adhering to the side of the tube:NarcoPouch #904B

Barbiturates Dille-Koppanyi Reagent – Presumptive test designed to identify a Barbiturate in either a tablet or capsule form. To test tablets, reduce the substance to a powder form.
