Shoutbox General Purpose Manikin

Designed to be lifelike in size, weight distribution and handling characteristics, the Ruth Lee Shoutbox General Purpose Manikin is a rugged manikin constructed using a flexible inner core, an outer shell, and protective overall. The 4 lbs weight packets are sewn to a nylon “inner dummy” to match human body proportions. Made of rot-resistant canvas, the 15 oz. soft outer layer features double stitched seams and are reinforced with webbing. The included protective coveralls safeguard the manikin body from abrasion and dirt, thereby increasing the lifespan. They are protected with high density polypropylene webbing in identified high stress areas. The arm-ends are protected with nylon reinforced PVC.

This manikin includes the CE Certified Ruth Lee ShoutBox™ which is an interactive voice recording device that can be used in conjunction with any Ruth Lee Adult Training Manikin featuring an anatomically shaped head. This innovative device allows the instructor to record messages related to the day’s training exercise and drastically change how the rescue training is carried out! For instance, during a search and rescue training session, the instructor can pre-record specific messages to rescuers or make coughing sounds to alert the rescuers of its presence. The instructor may plan it to emit sounds in a loop with user-selectable repeat intervals or have the recorded message play by sound activation. The Ruth Lee Shoutbox General Purpose Manikin are available in 44 lbs and above weight options in youth and adult formats. The youth size is available in 44 lbs / 4’3” while the adult size manikin is available in 44 lbs / 5'11", 66 lbs / 5'11", and 110 lbs / 5'11". All these manikins come with lug sole Wellington boots. The boots protect the manikin legs if dragged along the ground. To meet weight requirements other than the available weights, optional weight vests are supplied that fits underneath the coverall.

These general purpose training dummies are tough enough to be buried under concrete, have steel lintels, concrete slabs, trees or motor vehicles laid upon them to present a realistic scenarios for rescuers.
