Kong SALY Helicopter Hoist Operator Safety Lanyard

Kong SALY Helicopter Hoist Operator Safety Lanyard

The Kong SALY is a safety lanyard designed for helicopter hoist operators, securing them during helicopter hoist operations. It connects to the operator's harness using an Autoblock carabiner with a three-movement opening system and to the helicopter ceiling safety point using a high-visibility TANGO 360 aluminium Double Gate carabiner. An aluminium swivel allows the operator to move freely around the cabin without twisting the lanyard. The length adjustment device enables the operator to set the appropriate lanyard length during rescue hoist operations.

It features an overload indicator on the swivel joint to signal the lanyard's integrity and performance during high-rate acceleration under load. Its two-action Quick Release System allows one-handed release, both under load and without tension, for emergencies such as helicopter ditching or crashes. The release mechanism is easily accessible for emergency evacuation. High-visibility connectors and tabs also facilitate cabin crew cross-checks of the harness and safety point connections before opening the door in flight. The lanyard is suitable for various helicopter cabins and other cabin crew applications.
