The NAR BurnTec Hydrogel Burn Dressings First Aid Kit contains eleven different sizes of BurnTec burn dressings in a convenient carrying case. The CE marked hydrogel dressings feature a stable sheeting structure strengthened with medical quality non woven fabric, making them easier to handle without spilling or damaging the hydrogel. The hydrogel contains an aqueous composition of natural and synthetic polymers, including polyvinylpyrrolidone, polyethylene glycol and agar. Designed to provide a cool and soothing effect for up to 24 hours, the sterile non stick dressing can absorb wound secretions while remaining permeable to water vapor and oxygen.

It features hydrogel that is impermeable to bacteria and designed to help protect the injured area from external contamination. The material is biocompatible and hypoallergenic and can be used for first-, second-, and third degree thermal, chemical and electrical burns. BurnTec dressings can also be used for sunburns, abrasions, bruises, swelling and insect bites. The non stick properties support dressing replacement without destroying granulation or new epithelium, while immediate application is stated to reduce the risk of hypertrophic scars.
