The Ruth Lee Confined Space Multi-Part Manikin is constructed from the same flame retardant material that is used in stab/police vests. The material offers 4 times the strength and abrasion-resistance of 16oz P.V.C. or canvas. It has high-density webbing and conforms to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, BS EN ISO 12947-2 and 14116: 2008. The Manikin splits into smaller pieces with none of the pieces weighing more than 25 Kg.

It has detachable limbs which make it easier to position the rescue scenario, especially in conditions where training has to be conducted in confined spaces. Anatomically, the weight is correctly distributed to give the feel of an unconscious casualty. A strong webbing loop at the back aids easy handling, suspension for drying, storage and hauling aloft. The structure is durable enough to withstand being buried under steel lintels, concrete, dropped from a 2nd-floor window or driven over by a 4x4 vehicle.
