Standard filters:

  • 485 nm filter
  • Excellent excitation source for fluorescent powders and dyes, physiological fluid detection and location of fibers and other trace evidence.

  • 530 nm filter
  • Many Law Enforcement agencies report that this is the filter to use first! Use as a broad scan for virtually all types of evidence. Perfect for most fluorescent powders and dyes. Photographers select this filter for oblique lighting of dimensional contrast photography.

  • 570 nm filter
  • This selection has been proven the best for detection and documentation of DFO developed ridge detail on many paper surfaces that exhibit high background fluorescence. Document examiners judge this wavelength necessary for ink comparison and detection of altered documents. Thin layer chromatography plates exhibit increased levels of fluorescence when viewed under this wavelength.
