The anatomy and landmarks of the simulator include oral and nasal pharynx, larynx, epiglottis, arytenoids, teeth and tongue. When you use this simulator, you get room to maneuver and an anterior position of the baby. This makes the S.A.L.A.D. simulator perfect for budding medical students and for use in advanced classes. The position of the trachea can be changed by applying pressure.

The Life/form Child S.A.L.A.D. Simulator features suction catheter that distracts lower mandible and tongue. This distraction allows for laryngoscope insertion. With this simulator, you can also practice the Sellick maneuver. The simulator comprises child airway management trainer head and suction canister with 2 right angle tubing adapters.
