MMC GHB Drug Test Kit O
This test is used for the presumptive identification of Gamma Hydroxy Butyrate.
10 tests per pack
The MMC Narcotic Field Tests are based on a new technology with many advantages over the tests available in the market today
- Very little liquid reagents
- One step tests (one ampoule only)
- Safe and easy to use
- Acid neutralizers are not required
- No environmental risks/concerns
- Results within seconds
- High reliability and consistency
- Accurate and sensitive
- Economic (low cost)
- Easy to test liquid narcotics and precursors
- No hazardous shipping concerns
- No concern of over or under loading the ampoule with suspected drugs
MMC GHB (Gamma-Hydroxy-Butyrate) TEST
Used as a presumptive test to detect the presence of GHB materials. The test has a sensitivity LDL (Lower Detection Level) <0,1 mg depending on the purity of the sample. Take an ampoule and note whether the crystals are still bright (yellow), in case they are dark coloured, such ampoules cannot be used. Compare the colour changes with the colour indicated on the ampoules (each ampoule can be used only once)
How to use the test:
Knock the unopened ampoule several times against a hard surface-for example, the top of the table, for a few seconds. In this way, particles which may be sticking to the inside of the ampoule wall will fall downwards. Open the ampoule as follows: Take the lower part of the ampoule in the left hand, and take the top (upper part) between index finger and thumb and snap off at the fracture line by applying pressure to the side.
There are two ways to finish the test:
- Transfer a little of the sample under examination with a small pipette (1 drop)(25 – 50 microliter) or wet the (round end) part of the spatula with the substance into the ampoule
- In case of the presence of GHB the crystals will turn from light green to
olive green/blue. In all cases the colour change is fully developed within l- 2
minutes. A further elapse of time produces only a slight colour change depending
of the colour. The test should be evaluated after 1-2 minutes have elapsed.
- Transfer a little of the sample under examination into the plastic cap and put this cap on top of the opened ampoule and turn the ampoule upside-down so the material will fall down .
- Keep the ampoule in the upright position so that the substance is deposit on
the bottom of the ampoule. And transfer the suspected material into the ampoule.
Allow the suspected material and the reagents/granulate to mix. This can be
achieved by tapping the ampoule with the finger or with a light shake. In case
of the presence of GHB the crystals will turn from light green to olive green.
In all cases the colour change is fully developed within l- 2 minutes. A further
elapse of time produces only a slight colour change depending of the colour. The
test should be evaluated after 1-2 minutes have elapsed.
NOTE: For both methods it is recommended that a clean spatula is used. For liquid samples use the supplied spatulas (round part end) A further elapse of time produces only a slight colour change depending of the colour. The test should be evaluated after 1-2 minutes have elapsed.
SPECIFICITY: GHB Products produce a bright to dark green change of colour within seconds, some chemicals may react such as Ammonia and flatulence salt create a green colour .
STORAGE: How to store the ampoules: The ampoules should be protected from light and temperatures over 35 ºC. (95F)
SAFETY: Keep the ampoules out of the reach of children .In case the reagent (Crystals) come in contact with the eyes, skin or clothes (The effected areas have to be rinsed with water) No liability can be accepted by the supplier, when the tests have been inappropriately used.
DISPOSAL: After use the ampoules we recommend to dispose the test ampoules into the bottle bank . Or in accordance with the waste Disposal regulations current in the country use.
